C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Charles Williams were contemporaries who were a part of a group of writers and intellectuals known as The Inklings who met during the 1930s and 1940s at a public house in Oxford. Tolkien, like Lewis, used Christian allegory in many of his writings including, The Lord of the Rings, another series of books that was recently released as a major motion picture.hublot big bang replica.

The theme of “The Lion” centers around four children, the Pevensie siblings, who get caught up in a land of magic. Entering “Narnia” through a wardrobe [a tall cabinet that holds clothes] — located in a home where they are boarding — the children enter a land where it is always winter, but never Christmas. Under the spell of the White Witch, Narnia is forever in the grip of evil. The land is occupied by talking animals [beavers, for one], spirits, goblins, sprites, but no humans. That is until Lucy Pevensie shows up followed by her brother Edmund and, later, Susan and Peter.

Quite obviously the White Witch a/k/a the Queen of Narnia is most interested in humans so she resorts to all sorts of magic and trickery to lure them in. Edmund, the most impressionable of the siblings, is quickly captivated by the White Witch and then sets out to betray the others.Swiss Replica Watches.

Without giving away the storyline, the theme of Narnia clearly reflects the captivity of this present world under Satan, but its past and future deliverance through Jesus Christ. In the form of a lion, Aslan, Lewis brings a savior to Narnia who eventually releases the land from its winter grip and vanquishes the White Witch.

If you’re looking for personal development tools, Think and Grow Rich should be on the top of your priorities.”Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill is one of most favourite books by people and it is one of the all time best-selling personal financial books .

Although a little dated due to the fact that it was written in 1937, Think and Grow Rich is a great starting point for anyone interested in personal development and creating a ‘Mindset’ from which to re-launch your life. The book is not only for those who want to achieve financial success, but for anyone who needs a breakthrough in order to achieve a personal accomplishment, whether it is financial, technical, physical, mental, emotional, or even habitual. Every successful man has Fake rolex watches.

The best way how to become successful is to find out what others did before success came to them – and that’s exactly what Napoleon Hill did. According to his mentor’s advice, he studied the life paths of 16 wealthy individuals and pointed out their steps to victory. It’s not a step by step manual, it simply sets out ways of turning you around to positive thinking and outlines the key points that successful, powerful people have applied to their lives and the benefits of doing so.

‘Mystery Queen’ Agatha Christie as one of the best authors of detective novels out there made it to our top ten books list. She is well known for her excellent plots and surprising endings. Among all her novels who the culprit would be is difficult in almost all Agatha Christie novels, it is nearly an impossible task in ‘And Then There Were None’. Such is the ingenuity of the twist that the plot takes in the end.

What’s going on in this book? Eight people of different social classes are invited to a mansion in an isolated island. and that they would be attended to by a married couple. The married couple in question, however, are under the impression that they are invitees too.Fake Breitling watches have managed to become a very popular fashion watches around the world.

In the middle of all this confusion, a gramophone plays an audio that night, accusing each of the ten people of murder of a person. This takes the guests aback. While the guests acknowledge knowing the person they are accused of having murdered, they defiantly deny having committed any act of malice towards that person. They are accused of murders and they start dying, one by one.

At the end, when only two people are left, the tension reaches its peak, and the story advances to a brilliantly conceptualized climax, the details of which I will spare for the benefit of those who have not read the book yet. It is a stunning climax, and aptly so, for the book itself is a thrill ride for the reader. If you are a lover of detective fiction or thrillers, this is one book you wouldn’t want to miss.

Pride and Prejudice is a great novel of early 19th century by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice mainly dealt with the theme of love & marriage yet, its major theme is the pride of hero and prejudice of heroine. It is the most popular and flawless novel written in artistic manner. This classic romance of Jane Austen depicts the themes of love & marriage and the influences of Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen’s delineation of characters, comedy of manners and limited range made this novel a masterpiece. Every single character, every scene is placed carefully in exact place. We find no exaggerated expressions, no superficiality, no politics or social or economic issues except love & marriage.

Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice utilizes a combination of narrative voice and dialogue, or telling and showing, to effectively create the impression of a social world inhabited by a variety of characters. Her contemporaries like Wordsworth and Charlotte Bronte found in her works a want of feeling, passion and imagination.

“If everyone fought for their own convictions there would be no war.” ——《War and Peace》

Leo Tolstoy is one of many great men who give the great contribution to the development of Russian literature. Some of his works are “Anna Karenina”, “War and Peace”, “The Kingdom of God is Within You”, “Kreutzer Sonata”, The Cossacks”, “The Death of Ivan Ilych”, and so on. War and Peace he wrote is one of the largest and most popular novels in the world literature.

In War and Peace, Tolstoy expounds his thoughts on everything from love, morality and leadership, to death, faith and reason. it contains the philosophy of one of the greatest minds of the 19th century. The book also criticizes the superficial upper class of Russia by exhibiting the virtues of the common, lowly foot soldiers of the brave Russian infantry contrasting with the opulent aristocratic families,

It describes, with great accuracy and detail both historically and descriptively, Napoleon’s charge towards Moscow, and the effect it has upon a number of families back in Russia. There are a vast amount of characters in this novel, ranging from the historical figures Napoleon and Tsar Alexander to a fictional character that Tolstoy modeled on himself. The primary forces of the novel are not the individuals Napoleon and Kutuzov, but rather the aggregated effect of human beings as a whole.

The Da Vinci Code, first published in 2003, the novel has sold about 80 milllion copies and has been translated in 44 languages. One of the most criticised novels of its times, it follows an investigation of a murder in Paris’s Louvre Museum by two symbologist and discover a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jesus Christ of Nazareth having been married to Mary Magdalene. In the novel , Sophie Neveu that the figure at the right hand of Jesus in Leonardo da Vinci’s painting of “The Last Supper” is not the apostle John, but actually Mary Magdalene. In the novel, Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus Christ and was pregnant with his child when Jesus was crucified. Dan’s most powerful assertion and the soul of the story revolves around Jesus’ life and His disciples. Amongst which one of them was “Mary Magdalene”. The character of Mary suffered defamation due to her strong bonding with Christ.

Though this book has been declared as a best seller and Dan as a fine writer but there is a major section of society which declares his book and him anti-religion, it clearly hurts religious sentiments of many.A son may think what all his father has ever taught him was wrong and now the truth is altered which alters the life of many.

The Lord of the Rings is one of the world’s most popular and well-known high fantasy series, one that has and always will be one of the greatest series in its’ genre for all of time. The book was written way back in the 1950′s by J.R.R Tolkien and are still as relevant today as they were 60 years ago.

In The Lord of the Rings Frodo Baggins, Bilbo Baggin’s “nephew,” is tasked with casting the One Ring into the fires of Mount Doom in Mordor. The story itself is basically one of good and evil, on one side you have the fellowship which include Hobbit’s, Wizards, Elf’s, Warriors and Dwarfs and on the other side you have evil Wizards, Orcs and other creatures such as the Balrog and for those who are scared of spiders….well…we wont even go into that.

The book goes into fantastic detail about Middle-Earth and all its races, tribes and armies along the way. If you have seen the movies that many of you most likely will have, then you have basically seen the watered down version, dont for one minute think it’s a waste of time reading them as the book takes you to places that the movie simply can’t and ultimately didn’t!

The historical novelist often tries to portray that era sensibly and realistically in both spirit and fact. The Count of Monte Cristo is one of the historical theme. It is a book that will seem glued to your hands, for its story is so absorbing and captivating you will not put it down.

The Count of Monte Cristo was written by Alexandre Dumas in 1844 originally in French. The story is written in the midst of serious, monumental political upheaval in France, which the author himself experienced; Napoleon Bonaparte, and his immeasurable influence during his time, figures heavily early on in the plot. There are many great insights into the old French political life, which played such an influential role in shaping the composition of Europe. Dumas also quotes heavily from Ancient Greek and Roman culture.

The Count of Monte Cristo is one of the great literary adventures, indeed William Thackeray was so enthralled he began reading `at six one morning and never stopped till eleven at night’.And if this book is read complete with a sizeable notes section which details the meaning of each reference, further enriches the read.

Les Miserables contains more than 513,000 words. Written by French author Victor Hugo, the story is considered to be one of the greatest novels of the 19th century.it took 17 years before the book was completed and published.

Les Miserables is a very smooth and accessible read compared to a lot of other famous novels, it is a historical culture legacy reflecting the tragic life and destiny of the human in the middle of nineteen century in France. it attaches importance on the tragedy and position of the impoverished people, by doing this, Hugo was able to stress on the main idea of the novel, which is most exciting and attentive aspect, leading all of the readers to deep thinking.

Les Miserables is also a story with a complicated plot, but a touching and imaginative story. This story was originally a novel published all the way back on April 3rd, 1862, by the marvellous Victor Hugo. It was greatly popular when it was first published in France, and soon grew to be published in other countries like Europe. Critics at first were not thrilled about the book however. Some called the book, “immoral,” and had very negative opinions towards the book. Though that didn’t stop the book from becoming one of the most classic novels and musical plays in history.
